Synopsis
Elderly service station owner Shadrach Jones is visited one rainy night by a group of elves and their sickly king. He takes them in, and when the king soon after dies, Jones is named his successor.
Notes
Originally titled Shadrach Jones and the Elves, it was renamed for publication in Beyond Fantasy Fiction in September 1953.
