The Pacific Book of Australian SF gives the source of this story as "The Bulletin", an Australian national weekly. L. T. Sargent's "Utopian Literature in English: An Annotated Bibliography from 1516 to the Present" (https://openpublishing.psu.edu/utopia/content/it-could-be-you) gives the issue date as 3 March 1962 Merril lists the source as Short Story International, which reprinted the story in the September, 1964 issue. The MUP Encyclopaedia of Australian Science Fiction & Fantasy gives a 1962 first publication, in Hal Porter's Coast to Coast Sydney : Angus et Robertson, 1962, which volume credits "The Bulletin". {{OCLC|10209746}}
