A stranger texts Gaby intimate details of her life and gives an unbelievable explanation.
Notes
A short story written as a SMS text message conversation and first published as a Twitter thread of fictional screenshots. The Twitter thread does not have a title in the first post, but the title "Unknown Number" appears in the last post. This title was also used when the story was nominated for a Hugo award, as well as in all other versions.
