Synopsis
<b>From the front flap of the Macmillan second printing:</b> "Book 7 of the Chronicles of Narnia - <i>How evil came to Narnia for the last time and Aslan led his people to a new paradise.</i> <p>When the last battle of the last King of Narnia began, Jill and Eustace, the children from beyond the world's end, were there to help fight it - Eustace bravely flourishing his long Narnian sword, and Jill with string and bow. The young King Tirian, in his darkest hour, had called them in the name of Aslan, the great lion, because when things were at their worst in Narnia, the children had always come. <p>Jewel, the lordly Unicorn, the Talking Bear and the Boar and Farsight, the eagle, were all ranged on the side of the King, but the spears of the dark, evil Calormenes were long and many. With the noble cause of Aslan in their hearts, they all stepped forward, without fear, to join the last battle of Narnia. <p>In this, the seventh and last of the Chronicles of Narnia by C. S. Lewis, all the old friends from the earlier books meet again in a scene of radiant glory, ending this saga of magic, mystery, and high adventure."
