Completed after publication of the first five of seven Harry Potter novels. "Abbreviations" (x) cites 1st US editions published 1998 to 2003. According to introductory essay "The Magic of Philosophy":
One of the first full-scale scholarly conferences devoted to the Potter books, Nimbus 2003, was held in Orlando, Florida. ... Another such conference was held in summer 2004 in Canada, and Nimbus 2005 is set for the fall of 2005. (p. 1)
