Synopsis
This Outlander novella takes place before book 1 of the series, <i>Outlander</i> aka <i>Cross Stitch</i>.<br> In 1740, young Jamie Fraser is sent to France after his father dies. He joins his cousin Ian Murray in a band of mercenary soldiers.
Notes
The Outlander series as a whole has speculative-fiction elements (time-travel), but this particular story does not. A good categorization would be as "historical adventure / mystery."
