• Tarzan at the Earth's Core cover on page 34 is listed as unknown. Date used after cover match and the cover on page 34 looks to have "library" markings at bottom spine.
• The Moon Pool is stated as a 1929 reprint cover by Lee Conrey. The picture used is possibly a Movie poster from that?
• Avon Fantasy Reader, #10 1949 (cover)has artist "Unknown". Artist source from ISFDB.
• Conan The Barbarian (cover)on pg. 60 is a Japanese edition.
• The Return of Conan on page 134 is a Japanese printing.
• The Innocent Eve is listed because of the "Mushroom Cloud" on cover.
• A. Merritt's Fantasy Magazine, December 1949 attributes the cover to Lawrence Sterne Stevens. Jane Frank's "Science Fiction and Fantasy Artists of the Twentieth Century: A Biographical Dictionary" credits Peter Stevens as does her source Robert Weinberg. ISFDB credits it to Peter Stevens with this notation "The cover artist is not credited but Contento and Ashley credit Stevens". Thus it is credited to Peter Stevens here.
• The Conquest of the Moon Pool (Complete Novel) is an interior b/w page from Fantastic Novels Magazine, September 1948.
• The Devil's Spoon (complete novel)is an interior b/w page from Famous Fantastic Mysteries, June 1948.
• The Fellowship of the Ring(cover)on page 110 upper right states artist unknown. Artist is identified at ISFDB and therefore used in contents. There is an artist signature match at bottom right of cover.
• Famous Dreams IV - King Arthur's Vision of the Bear and the Dragon from "The Illustrated London News" Christmas 1932.
• Le Morte Darthur (watercolor plate) an example of one of 48 in a four volume set. (1910-11).
• Arthur Rex: A Legendary Novel incorrectly states "Jean-Louis Huens" as artist. That is corrected to "Jean-Leon Huens" as in that book's credits.
• Cover artist "Jean-Louis Huens" corrected to "Jean-Leon Huens" for The Black Cauldron page 198.
• Goblin Market is from The Illustrated News Christmas 1911.
