First book publication of three serials (1912-1913). The original three serials were published with their original titles in single issues each of Famous Fantastic Mysteries (1940-1941). It was split into five parts for book publication by Avalon (1965-1967).

Reprinted in five volumes by Avalon Books in 1965 - 1967 Interior artist per Worldcat. A second printing was done that states 'Second Printing, February 1914' on the copyright page.
