King Kull

Notes

This 1976 Sphere edition is a unique version of the "King Kull" collection. It is effectively a reprint of the 1967 Lancer collection of the same title with two exceptions:

• This version was edited by {{A|Glenn Lord}} to remove the changes made by {{A|Lin Carter}} to the story "The Striking of the Gong" when it appeared in the 1967 Lancer edition. The other three stories which Carter changed for the Lancer edition -- "Black Abyss," "Riders Beyond the Sunrise" and "Wizard and Warrior" -- retained Carter's changes.
• The author credit was changed from "Robert E. Howard and Lin Carter" to "Robert E. Howard".

Other prices: A$1.95, NZ$2.05, Rep of Ireland 66p. "Cover illustration: Chris Achilleos" vertically down spine right hand side on rear cover, also signed. Cover match and artist attribution from "Beauty and The Beast" by Chris Achilleos, page 27. Listed as April, 1976 but relevance of date unknown.
