Notes

New York: New Amsterdam Book Co., London: Hutchinson and Co., 1899. This title has a double imprint and was printed in England. This issue for the American Market. First American Edition with 1899 on the title page. Bound in cream colored cloth with red stamping to the front cover and the spine. 12 year old Gracie Death helps to solve the mystery as a clairvoyant through her dreams, as well as through the usual searching for clues. This somewhat unusual publisher was known to publish books of Fantasy or with Fantasy Elements at times, so I always keep my eye open for their books. The price is from Publishers Weekly, from an ad by the publisher in the Oct 21, 1899 issue, page 761.
