The manuscript remained unpublished for some time, and first saw publication in 2004 in its German translation. The original English text was only published starting 16 November 2007 as a serial via BattleCorps.
Author and publisher decided to revise the first two books before the third one has been written, creating new, authoritative versions that were expanded over the originals and partly rewritten. The first revised book was published on 2021-03-08.
