Novelization of two stories from Amazing Stories. "John Carter and the Giants of Mars" was first published in January 1941, and "Skeleton Men of Jupiter" was first published in February 1943.

John Carter and the Giant of Mars is an enlargement of the 1940 Racine/Whitman hardcover edition. In 1941, with Amazing requesting a new Mars story, ERB and JCB collaborated to add 5,000-6,000 words with some revising.
