Notes

• A magazine version was serialized in Astounding Science Fiction under the title "Dorsai!" copyright 1959 by Street & Smith Publications.
• A shorter and revised version was published in 1960 in a paperback edition under the title "The Genetic General".
• A revision in 1976 restored text from the 1959 version. This is perhaps the most available version in terms of print copies.
• Another revision, copyright 1988, appeared first in "Four to Dorsai!" from the SFBC in March of 2002, just over a year after the author's passing.
