This novel is an expansion of the novella Her Habiline Husband which is reprinted in its entirety as Part One. The other two parts are entitled "His Heroic Heart" and "Heritor's Home".

• Year of publication in the Library of Congress Cataloging in Publication Data.
• Month of publication based on the code "785" printed at the bottom of the back inside flap of the dustjacket.
• ISBN printed in the LCCiP data and at the top of the inside flap and the back of the dustjacket.
• The ISBN as printed in all three locations is an invalid number with an incorrect checksum. Some internet bookdealers show a corrected ISBN of 0-87795-724-X. The number sign has been placed before the invalid number in this record to represent a catalog number and to avoid the software-generated error report.
• LCCN: 84-28324 as printed in the LCCiP data. The LCCN record corrects the ISBN to 0-87795-724-X, but mistakenly prices this at $15.95.
