Orson Welles' radio dramatization of this story first aired in two parts on the program Suspense (May 18 & 25, 1944), and rebroadcast in one airing on February 7, 1948. A recording released in 1982 won a Grammy Award for Best Spoken Word Album. Also available online at The Escape and Suspense Website. First published in Black Mask as a serial in September, October, November 1942 issues.
