• The title page states "Illustrated by Charles E. Brock and H. R. Millar". However, each illustration is by one or the other, with the applicable signature discernible in each case. (Some of the stories were previously published in The Strand Magazine with illustrations by Millar. Brock also illustrated stories in that monthly magazine.)
