• 9 volumes published (1882-1884) together with the 3 volumes of Tales from the Arabic (1884), but titled separately. These 9 volumes were published in: Vols. 1-2 in 1882, Vols. 3-6 in 1883, and Vols. 7-9 in 1884.
• First edition published as a limited edition of 500 "by private subscription and for private circulation only" (due to the sexuality of the original tales, removed from most earlier published versions).
