• Year on title page. Source of month unknown. Locus magazine #230 (February 1980) lists it in the "January Books" column but Locus1 refers to it as "Phantasia 1979"
• Publisher (Phantasia Press) was contacted, requesting exact publication date. Reply dated 2024-04-16 from "Alex Berman, Publisher" reads in part: "My records, and best recollection, seem to show that our edition of THE RINGWORLD ENGINEERS was published in late 1979, and likely released in November or December of that year."
• "Cover Painting by Paul Lehr" on rear dust jacket flap. The wraparound cover artwork is signed "Lehr"
• "Frontispiece by Paul Lehr" on title page. This single page of full colour artwork is printed on glossy paper and is signed "Lehr"
• issued in a plain, dark green slipcase
• issued with a loosely laid in foldout black and white map of part of the Ringworld which is signed "Duane (after Niven & Wu)"
• Statement of limitation on a rear free endpaper:
  • This first edition of The Ringworld Engineers
    is limited to five hundred numbered copies, all
    of which have been signed by the author.
