Joe R. Lansdale completed an unfinished novel by Edgar Rice Burroughs. The novel was serialized by Dark Horse Comics in a four-issue comic book and then collected as a book, the John Carter strip drawn by {{a|John Coleman Burroughs}} was reprinted in the series.
