Frank Sheridan

According to <a href="http://books.google.nl/books?id=S95ObmXSPggC&pg=PA76&lpg=PA76&dq=john+demorgan+1848+1926+frank+sheridan&source=bl&ots=qLFAeRZ9rl&sig=CMMK05x4oY9AmxdGHmQaNFtLyoo&hl=en&sa=X&ei=Q9BiU_6FMOag0QXj1YHYBg&ved=0CEgQ6AEwBA#v=onepage&q=john%20demorgan%201848%201926%20frank%20sheridan&f=false">The Dime Novel Companion: A Source Book By J RANDOLPH COX</a> and so cited in <a href="http://www.erbzine.com/mag18/marooner.htm">www.erbzine.com</a>: Frank Sheridan is a pseudonym used by John De Morgan. However, one story, "<a href="http://www.isfdb.org/cgi-bin/title.cgi?1090119">The Boy Balloonists; or, Among Weird Polar People</a>" credited to Sheridan is written in a very different style than that of De Morgan's as noted in Bleiler's <i>Science-Fiction: The Early Years</i>. Bleiler considers the true author of this story to be unknown.
